“A wise man once said nothing.” What a great quote we should all make note of. Silence is a powerful statement, a smart tactic, and many times, a wise choice. Meaningless silence is always better than speaking meaningless words. Maybe we should give some serious thought to the fact that we have a mouth that we can close and ears that we can’t close.
No one is going to hand you success, you must seize it yourself. The great Jack Welch, former CEO of GE, is famous for saying, “If you don't have a competitive advantage, don't compete." Find a way to dominate a space and be original. Have the attitude that you want to CRUSH your competition. How? A simple first step to domination is to do what others in your industry aren’t doing.
I am preparing to present a program to the Florida Realtors Association. While doing research on their industry, I ran across two very disturbing statistics: 75% of Realtors fail in their first year and a total of 87% fail in their first 5 years. Wow! That is just shocking. SO, I continued on in my research to find out why do only 13% survive?
